Deb Lamkin R.D., L.D. has practiced in the fields of nutrition and research since graduating from the College of Nutrition and Health Science at Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a B.S. in Dietetics.

Deb began her career as a Dietitian at St. Michael’s/Hillcrest Hospital in Oklahoma City. She then went on to practice private nutrition counseling as an independent contractor with Bannister & Associates, providing menu planning and individual nutrition consultation specific to chronic disease management. Deb then joined COR Clinical Research as a Clinical Research Coordinator, where she was Lead Coordinator for several years before joining her husband, Dr. Brian Lamkin, in creating The Lamkin Clinic.

Deb has been intricately involved in designing education and nutrition protocols as well as menus for optimum health for patients at The Lamkin Clinic. Deb Lamkin is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian (RD/LD). Deb’s passion is to help empower her clients to lead healthier lifestyles and stems from her diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis (R.A.). After being diagnosed at the age of 30, Deb knew there must be a better way to take care of herself rather than take medications. She began to further her education by studying functional nutrition. After she was able to heal her condition following functional nutrition protocols and immunotherapy, Deb was more committed than ever to helping patients reverse disease through nutrition. She has since helped her patients heal their bodies naturally by showing them how optimal nutrition and lifestyle changes help improve health and wellbeing. Deb is also a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) and holds a certificate of training in adult, adolescent, and pediatric weight management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has been successfully helping her clients lose weight, decrease medications, and live healthier lifestyles through the programs she and her husband, Dr. Brian Lamkin have developed and implemented at the Lamkin Clinic.

Sue Forbat – RN, BSN, FM-CHC

Health Coach | Patient Coordinator

Sue, originally from Fort Worth, Texas, completed nursing school at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania through the assistance of a full VA Health Professional Scholarship. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Following graduation, she completed a 2-year residency at the VA Medical Center in Dallas, serving in the areas of spinal cord injury and critical care.

In the years that followed, she worked in home health while living in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and now in Edmond, Oklahoma. As a parent of a son with autism and daughter with chronic health issues, she pursued treatment for them through functional medicine. In many respects, among her parenting responsibilities, she fulfilled the role of “health coach”–managing supplements and medications, implementing dietary intervention, and seeking out and monitoring additional therapies.

The success she has had coaching family members has helped fuel her desire to cultivate functional medicine as her specialty area. She has served as a resource for families managing chronic illness through one-on-one counseling and as a leader of local support groups. She is passionate about the individualized approach of functional medicine in which root causes are determined and treated. As a health coach, she values the opportunity to walk alongside patients, collaborating with them in their journey toward healing.

She is currently a certified health coach (CHC) through the National Society of Health Coaches (NSHC). In addition, she has been trained in motivational interviewing–an important tool in helping patients take positive steps toward improved health. At this time, she is pursuing further certification through the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, specifically focusing on functional medicine and nutrition, mind-body medicine, and positive psychology.

Stacy Dwyer – APRN-CNP

Associate Provider | Nurse Practitioner

Stacy Dwyer, APRN-CNP, completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Primary Care from Purdue University Global and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.  Before joining the Lamkin Clinic team, Stacy spent seven years working as a registered nurse after graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Stacy’s drive to help people regain their health and improve their quality of life stems from personal experience and frustration with finding a healthcare provider that was willing to listen, dig into possible root causes, and partner with her as she struggled with fatigue, weight gain, and a multitude of other symptoms resulting from an autoimmune thyroid disease, hormonal imbalance, and insulin resistance. Ultimately, Stacy was finally able to get the answers and the care she needed to regain control of her health, and wants to help others do the same.
