Brian Lamkin, DO, is the leading functional medicine doctor in Edmond, Oklahoma, and founder of The Lamkin Clinic. Born and raised in Oklahoma, Dr. Lamkin’s interest in health and medicine began after he graduated from high school.
During this time, Dr. Lamkin took courses in chemistry and human physiology at Oklahoma City Community College in Oklahoma City. He then graduated from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and microbiology.
Dr. Lamkin went on to earn his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at Oklahoma State Medical School (now known as Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He completed his residency training in family medicine at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City.
For eight years, Dr. Lamkin served as medical director of the Family Medical Center South in Oklahoma City. In 2007, Dr. Lamkin started studying preventive medicine and hormone therapy. He then trained at Cenegenics Medical Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada, earning his certification as an Age Management Medicine Physician.
Dr. Lamkin’s continued training in functional medicine, exercise physiology, and nutrition science enabled him to provide the most comprehensive care for his patients at The Lamkin Clinic.
At his clinic, Dr. Lamkin combines traditional family-focused care with advanced screening and proactive-preventive medical care to support his patients' wellness needs.
